Venice Voyage: A Journey Born from Tradition

Venice Voyage is not just a lagoon tour. It is a love story for Venice, for the water, for the boats that once filled the lagoon with color and that today risk disappearing into silence.

We are Francesco Barettin and Michael Caporal, two young Venetians who grew up among calli, tides, and the stories of boatmen. Since childhood, we have watched the bragozzo, the traditional Venetian boat, cut through the lagoon with pride. These boats were everywhere: tools of work, part of everyday life, and true symbols of our city.

Today, however, bragozzi are becoming increasingly rare. Their maintenance is demanding, the costs are high, and time seems to have no place for them anymore. Year after year, these boats risk becoming nothing more than photographs in history books.

Our Choice
Venice Voyage was born from a simple but courageous decision: not to let this tradition disappear. We chose to restore and keep the bragozzo alive, bringing these boats back to where they truly belong—the Venetian lagoon. Not as museum pieces, but as living boats that sail, tell stories, and offer authentic emotions.
An Experience Not for Everyone

Stepping aboard a bragozzo means traveling at a different pace. It means listening to the water sliding along the wood, breathing in the salty scent of the lagoon, and seeing Venice from a perspective that few can truly share.

Our tours are not simple boat trips. They are genuine experiences, created for those who want to discover the most authentic Venice—far from the crowds—guided by people who live this city every single day.

Every Ticket Is a Conscious Choice

When you choose a Venice Voyage tour, you are not simply buying a seat on a boat. You are choosing to experience Venice in the most genuine way possible.

You are choosing slow, respectful navigation, made of silence, stories, and views you will never see from crowded bridges. You are choosing to trust those who truly know this lagoon, because they were born and raised here.

Our bragozzi are not attractions built for mass tourism. They are boats that require care, time, and passion—just like Venice itself. Welcoming you on board means sharing this responsibility and this privilege with you.

An Experience That Stays with You

At the end of the tour, you won’t take home just photos. You will carry with you the feeling of having lived something authentic, of having been—if only for a few hours—part of real lagoon life.

Venice Voyage is for those who want to feel Venice, not just visit it. If you are looking for an experience with a soul, if you want to discover the lagoon through the eyes of those who live it every day, your place on the bragozzo is ready.

We look forward to welcoming you on board.
